UNION

UNION is a soccer tournament in which teams will represent the countries of our international students and one team will represent Canada.

We decided to create this tournament because we notice that although international and local students have classes together, they don't socialize with each other at all. As a result of this both parts end up being in their own “bubble”. That´s why we decided to create UNION as a way to integrate both local and international students, in a fun and different way. In which students get the chance to not only play, but also meet new people, support their friends and have fun in a healthy way. UNION is not just a soccer tournament, for some students it's an opportunity to represent their countries and feel connected with home while being far from their countries . Our objective is that students can have the opportunity to socialize in a healthy environment, while also feeling heard and seen in what is, for some, a totally new place.
