The Colony High School Science Olympiad STEM Opportunities

Launching a Title 1 Science Olympiad club from scratch to provide registration and build materials for 30+ smart students to compete.

Two months ago, we launched our school’s first Science Olympiad team from scratch. Over 30 students have already stepped up, eager to dive into competitive STEM events, hands-on engineering, and collaborative research. Because more than 45% of our students come from economically disadvantaged households, external funding is needed to ensure that this club remains accessible to all of our families. We need immediate financial backing to cover essential competition registration fees, lab build supplies, and shared study materials. This grant will directly eliminate financial barriers, ensuring that financial hardships do not lock talented students out of competitive STEM opportunities. By funding these initial material costs, you are helping us build an equitable, sustainable foundation. This foundation ensures that our current team can compete at the highest level, while creating a permanent framework that future students will continue to grow each year.
