Empowering Canadian youth with equitable access to financial literacy through national competitions, and real-world learning opportunities.

Target Alpha Canada’s three high school competitions, the Stock Trading Competition (STC), Stock Pitch Competition (SPC), and Financial Planners’ Conference (FPC), provide Canadian youth with practical opportunities to develop financial literacy and apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios. STC allows students to participate in a three-month stock trading simulation, while SPC challenges students to pitch a stock of their choice to industry professionals. FPC combines a live financial planning case study with financial literacy workshops by Regional Executives and industry professionals. Together, these competitions reach 1,000+ high school students annually, providing opportunities to learn about investing, financial planning, and financial decision-making. Funding will directly support the prize pools for these competitions, helping us recognize students for their achievements and incentivize participation. By increasing available prizes, we hope to further encourage students to engage with financial literacy and challenge themselves through meaningful, competitive learning experiences.
