Kids and Canines

Our student led raffle will fundraise money for the BC and Alberta guide dog association so that children in need can be themselves.

Kids and Canines — project cover

When people in the community buy tickets from our student led raffle they are automatically helping a child. Buying tickets from the raffle will help children get their guide dogs faster. Currently it takes 2 years and $35,000 to raise an autism service dog for children in BC and Alberta. A service dog can help children with autism live their lives how they want to live them. These service dogs can make children feel safer, more confident and help to reduce their stress. Guide dogs can also help students with disabilities feel more connected and included in the school atmosphere. The money raised from the raffle will also go towards sending youth with sight disabilities to classes, which will help them learn how to live with a guide dog and use them to the best of their abilities.
