Whether you’re a beginner or expert, come to Oak Bay High’s Grand Slam Down to play against club players, learn skills, and win prizes!

In this day and age, some students are either not interested in participating in sports or they are worried about criticism. By the end of this session, our goal is for students to have a new-found interest in tennis, want to play the sport, join a club and would help with students' fitness levels. The Grand Slam Down is a lunch hour tennis academy where all skill levels are welcomed. Play against club players in 1-on-1, 2-on-2, and other fun and engaging games. If a participant is worried about their skill level, they can come learn the basic tennis skills. For skilled players, they could get prizes such as tennis rackets for winning competitions. For beginners of tennis, no worries, beginners will be rewarded by building their skills and for participating. Every student that attends the Grand Slam Down regardless of their skill level can participate in a raffle!
